PCW manufactures energy efficient windows for new build in Northolt

Completed in early 2017 this cul-de-sac development in Ealing, Northolt consists of 7 new build modern terraced houses.Each house has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, garden space and large reception, complying with code 4 for sustainability and the London Plan for new build dwellings.

“It was important to fit into the local architectural language with form and aesthetic, but with contemporary detailing, materials and colour selection bring an enhancement to the local area. Adopting the principles of secure by design, the scheme is open to the street and opens up to an existing local path to tie the development into its surroundings.” says the Architect, EMGa Limited.Perfect Crystal Windows cooperated with the architects and contractors during the process.In order to tie with the architect’s design and deliver required visual aesthetics, PCW manufactured dual colour double glazed casement windows and french doors – white on the inside and woodgrain black on the outside. Woodgrain black finish perfectly matches the black wooden clad panels installed above the windows.

All windows and doors had been installed in the last phase of this 18 month project. PCW manufactured and installed 3 types of standard, double glazed casement windows – all from the Deceuninck 2500 chamfered finished range, looking sleek and on the budget!All terraced houses also feature french patio doors – all in dual colour, matching the windows. For the entrance doors the architect chose contemporary composite entrance door, also in dual colour, in irish oak finish at the front and white inside.

It was critical that the windows and doors are aligned throughout all the 7 buildings, creating a harmony in design.The aesthetic design of the windows, including exceptionally small sight lines and large glazed panels provide plenty of natural light inside.All windows are double glazed and Secure by Design. They are from our high performance Traditional Deceuninck 2500 range with its gentle and sharp chamfered design.Traditional 2500 offers superb thermal insulation and soundproofing too. Energy efficient double glazed windows and french doors will help contribute to the overall energy efficiency levels of those new build houses.
