Secondary glazing is a slimline, independent window system installed on the inside of your existing windows. It functions as a fully operable secondary window, offering enhanced insulation and soundproofing without altering the original window structure.

As recommended by the Energy Saving Trust, secondary glazing is an “ideal solution if you are unable to replace your existing windows with double glazing.” It provides a cost-effective and efficient way to improve thermal performance and reduce external noise.

Ideal for listed buildings and properties in conservation areas, secondary glazing is made from strong yet lightweight aluminium, allowing for a slim, discreet finish that blends seamlessly with your existing windows.

Available in a range of styles to suit your current window setup and allow easy access for cleaning and ventilation:

Featuring slim, thermally-broken profiles, Heritage windows are available in a number of formats, including fixed-pane, sash, top-hung and side-hung casement, pivot and tilt and turn. These different options may be installed in a combination of horizontal modules, which are stacked using our coupling options to form a multi-part window.

Available with a full suite of hardware options, with products specifically designed to match the door and window furniture that is synonymous with Victorian and Art Deco styles – including ‘Monkey Tail’ and ‘Bulb’ options.
